Robert Steele Robert Steele uses color, design and texture in abstractions that are likely to mesmerize the viewer!
According to this artist, it is difficult to concentrate one's efforts on one painting medium or style. He find that diversity in both is a must to create the looks, shapes and colors necessary to pull one into a painting.
Steele maintains his studio in Moses Lake, Washington, where he experiments in mixed media and often incorporates objects such as stones, dried grass, cloth, wood and stamps with his paint.
Inspiration for his unique creations comes from various sources-photographs, music, even from memories.
"I'm partial to jazz, blues and classical," he says.
